Since the early days of starting Neuromorphic Computing research, I have strongly believed that there is a lot to learn from natural intelligence when building artificial models.

In this perspective article, a large group of us from Neuroscience, Biology, Machine Learning, Electrical and Computer Engineering posit that studying neuronal and non-neuronal learning in biology can help us design a new generation of continual learning systems.

Read our article “Biological Underpinnings for Lifelong Learning Machines”, published in Springer Nature, Nature Machine Learning.
